Have you ever just picked up and moved a cabin? Me neither. But
I've read some and listened some more. Best you can do, seems like,
is carry off as much as nature hasn't gotten to, one way or another,
and reassemble it at your new location with new logs (cured some) and
new chunking for sure. Hope you find the changes interesting and
worth the effort.
Sometime around 1994 I decided to try my hand at building a website, learning HTML, that kinda thing. The site grew, then grew some more. It may grow some more again.
Back then, "homesteading" was a wonderful metaphor used by GeoCities, who first hosted this website. Thank you and bless you, GeoCities. (If you'd like to read some web history, please visit GeoCities history and maybe browse from there.)
"Homesteading" is also an excellent excuse for a Western theme for this site. Cowboying is one of the many things I might have tried if I ever grew up. I didn't, but here I can play with some of those ideas. You're welcome to play too.
This page is now hosted by aplus.net web hosting, a service of Aplus.net, one of the oldest independent ISPs and happily expanding. If you're ready for a rented website, be sure to check them out. They have good rates and several useful plans. They give excellent service and your website will almost never be down unless you take it down. They're good neighbors: they keep to themselves, but they're available if or when you need a hand.
Here's a way back to my home page if you'd like, or here's a floor plan, so to speak, for the homestead.
